Japanese not US.  Not sure the price is all that.  Might be a better made guitar though.

I thought it was built for the Japanese market, not built in Japan?

I think this is US made?

^^ this. And it doesn’t have all the 2015 nonsense on it because the Japanese do not tolerate that kind of silliness.

Edit: clicked through and it does have all that junk on it. Thought they had done a run for Japan that was clean of robotuners - I guess this wasn’t part of that one.

And they were , what,  £800 new in the blow outs?

Looks standard nut and board though? And not the huge baseball bat of a neck the 2015 trads had.

Lovely guitars, limited run USA made for the Japanese market. These don't have the extra wide necks nor the zero nut or the hologram, and they have the normal Les Paul logo. The only nod to the 2015 range are the tuners which are a 10 minute job to swap (if you don't like em). AAA flamed maple cap, low density mahogany body and 59 pickups. Really not that far off an R9/R0 for Studio money (imo).

    Yes I bought one

Very nice! I see you got a “proper” case as well. Are you keeping the tuners?

Yes I like em, clear and rich, no too hot. I'll compare them to the 57s when I get the chance

I haven't decided yet, I've a few with the gforce tuners and personally don't have a problem with them, I am tempted to change them though just to keep it more traditional? If so Grover or Kluson?
