I had foot surgery yesterday so confined to bed for 4 days. Kids are bringing me brews and wife's bringing me food. Probably the best opportunity for practing guitar and making music for the last 16 years :-)

Perfect, been waiting for the soil to get easier to work- have been rotorvating a small lawn area outside my music room this morning. Rock n roll life!

This is partially true (I'm going away on my motorbike for a few days in a mo) but it's certainly a lot more fun in light clothes rather than feeling like a trussed up Michelin man.

Just paid a tidy sum to have my drains cleared and a camera stuck down there to locate where a drainpipe has collapsed. 
Just got quote to correct aforementioned issue. 

Fucks sake. 

Cant have a barbecue if my garden’s gonna be a building site for a week.

Dry and bright mostly up here, but not warm. To think this time last year was when we started that lovely spell of weather right through until late August. Your part of the country may have varied though.

Got the weekend booked with Mrs B in Beverly, a small market town north of Hull. 

Just means we spend more time in the pub instead of trawling round the shops.

I mowed the lawn in preparation. You can all blame me.

I am working all day Saturday +night, also 10hrs of admin on Monday.

Tomorrow from 10am I have off and game of golf booked. It looks like it will remain dry and +11C until 1pm here in Bournemouth so I take that.

I’m staring into my manhole, muttering swearwords under my breath and consuming vast quantities of Wild Turkey. It’s a lot like work except I’m sitting down and listening to Robert Johnson instead of standing up listening to Radio 2.
And all the bourbon.
