I do like the Tribute.

Anyone else think the maple neck is an upgrade? It presume it is a bit stronger than mahogany and so an ideal wood for a LP neck.

Yes.. It is really.. But even though I know its a bit silly, I don't like the colour difference between the woods when you look at it from the back..
