Albert Lee Pink Burst (with trem)

hotpickupshotpickups Frets: 1822
Has anyone tried or owned one of these? I used to have the HH version but sold it to fund the guitar I have now. However, I did really like the feel of it so thinking one day I'd buy another one but would go for the SSS version but in red/pink burst because I'm shallow like that ;)

Any good?

Didn’t you play my SSS David? It’s not pink though!

There were two Pinkbursts, original run like all standard EBMM Albert SSS models then later on a BFR rerelease that had a mahogany tone block incorporated into the body.

Yeah that’s right Steve but I thought the pick ups were different ok the pink ones for some reason so wondered if anything else changed etc. It’s a shame cos I think there was one going for sake on here not too long ago

All specs on the original pinkbursts are the same as any standard Albert Lee SSS model.

The BFR versions got the mahog “tone block” (doubt it does a thing), different fret markers and a flamed maple cap. Bit Liberace really!

Ah ok. Then I’ve just got to hunt down a pink one then ;). Not many around I feel which will give me some time to get the funds together. Like selling my les Paul if need be :(

Probably easier to buy any SSS and get it refinished to the shade of pink you’d like! Mmmm pink sparkle burst!

Lol well it has to be the right sort of pink. I think the Albert Lee so called pink burst looks more candy red to me

I  tried an Albert Lee that was stunning pink pearl dayglow something .It had a neck to die for .Sadly a price to kill for so I declined .I didnt plug it in .i never do as pickups are a cheap replacement anyway and you cant really ever tell in shop banging away for ages on an amp you dont know and cant crank  .I just check out how it feels and plays.
    Fantastic

Could be the best guitar I’ve owned. I even like the fact it’s a Hardtail, although the Trem versions I’ve played are also great.
