can anyone advise on a service/cost to ship fully insured to Denmark?

Get a quote through Interparcel. It saves a lot of faff with going to individual couriers.

UPS, book direct, cost will be dependant on the value of the guitar but i'd estimate £70/80.

You could try Pharos Parcel, but do check with them first.

Last time I used them I emailed beforehand to enquire about shipping a guitar, and their reply was this:

"We can ship and insure an item for over £1000 but we book this manually for you.  The cost is 2% of item value on top of the shipping cost. The criteria for transit cover is that the item must be packed in a new double wall cardboard box with at least 6cm of cushioning material around it.  Please take pictures of the box and packaging beforehand, as they can be very helpful should you want to make a claim".

Bit late - but I've shipped any number of guitars to Europe with UPS, fully insured and never any hassle (famous last words!)

Interparcel.com - options on there, both road or air hence next day or 3/4 days - Around £30/40 upwards depending on options

I use UPS but other options available

Thanks Both. UPS are the ones I use normally so will stick with them.

I sent a guitar via Interparcel/UPS to Slovenia and used their road service, took best part of a week but got there safe and sound.

I just had a couple of enquiries from prospective buyers based in Denmark and Italy.

Is was thinking to use the Ebay global shipping thing.

Is it ok to ship a guitar with Rosewood and Ivory to tease countries?
