Pickguard that is. Just can't make up my mind after a number of months with it off.  :)

Very tasty guitar and amp. Personally I prefer traditional looking LPs with pickguard on.

Out of interest, are you able to get decent low volume tones out of that Princeton?

Off. May not be quite the traditional look, but you get to see more of the top.

Thanks, they make a great pair.

Volume wise I find the Princeton perfect for home clean use. The 10” speaker helps with that I’d guess, definitely doesn’t sound loud like an AC15 would for example.

That said I don’t use it for dirt - its all about the lush blackface cleans for me. It is however fine with pedals, I’ve used klones with it and they have sounded great even at home levels. The little Tumnus is particularly nice.

I don’t normally like pickguards on LPs but it looks really good on that ^.

The pickguard in that colour goes really well with the top; also it nicely balances the selector switch ring.

    Off.

Why cover a nice piece of wood with a cheap, boring bit of plastic? Never understood that.

On. An LP is about as basic as it gets in guitar design terms - it needs something to break it up a little.

Why worry about showing a few square inches of wood that looks the same as the rest of the wood? Never understood that.

On always. Unless you’re Slash, which you’re not, I assume.

I love the pickguard on Les Paul's, just looks right!

I still find it hard to believe that the designs (main designs) which Fender and Gibson created so long ago are still so relevant... just classic: )

    off - always off

If in doubt ask yourself what would Slash do ...... answer he'd take it off (while wearing a fetching hat) ;)
