Help please re shelving for amp head and effects.

I am trying to find a solution to tidying up my music room by putting my amp head and two guitar effects floor units in a shelving unit but am struggling to find something suitable.
Ideally I want the unit to be 74 cm wide 74cm high and 35cm deep with three shelves.
Anyone have any suggestions where I might go/look without taking out a mortgage?

It's a fully modular system, so you can get this just half the width and as many shelves as you need.

And I have several of those shelves and a display cabinet at home. Unfortunately I'm nowhere near you!

I have had similar shelves I the past and for lighter items they are great but not sure I'd trust them with a heavy expensive valve head but thanks for the response.

Thanks @trolley. Yes that's a bit of a trek Surrey to Cheshire.

A couple of years ago went for shelves in my studio (aka grotty, tiny bedroom) and started off by No Nailing and  plug/screwing 15mm MDF to the wall. First fit was my Tannoy 5As on swivle brackets. Then a shelf bewteen them for vid machine, MD recorder and cassette recorder. Easy to fix mains strips as I need them.

Remember to leave space at the back to get a 13A plug through.

Yes the plaster will come off with the MDF when the place is sold but at 73 that is the kid's problem!

Sounds like a good plan Dave. Thanks. However it does not take account of how DIY inept I am. I think freestanding shelves should do it but just finding the right dimensions.

I can attest that those basic ikea ivaar shelves will happily hold valve heads.

At one point I had four 100w tube heads sat in one of those shelf units!

The key for the Ivar shelves is the metal cross brace. They seem to be missing from the cheaper similar ones from Argos and the like. They stop the wobbling from side to side.

Yeah, mine are cross braced. They probably would collapse without that

I'm looking at the 3 amp heads I currently have, and looking at the 9-bay Ivar shelf and I'm having thoughts.

@prlgmnr the only thing I have to caution about that is that trying to lift a tube head above your own head height is quite difficult :-)

Job done - For the time being at least. Although in the fullness of time I can see me having to pay someone to make a more pleasing to the eye version to placate my good lady wife who thinks this too industrial and ugly.

They,ll cope with a valve head no problem proved you secure them to a wall and don’t put a boogie on them
