    The Godmother Of Rock'n'Roll :).

She absolutely tears it up with the white SG/Les Paul Custom...

I only found out about her about six years ago - she was great!

Edit - on about 5 minutes, was that when she visited Manchester, or Bury? I've got a recollection that she did at some stage.

You've reignited the extreme gas I've  had in the past for a white custom 3 pickup sg.

    Thanks for that ;)

That appearance was part of a Granada Television programme. I'm not sure whether it was intended as general light entertainment or meant to serve as Religious - SRT being a gospel figure.

Recordings from her early career include some pretty salacious lyrics. ;)

Manchester, what was Chorlton train station iirc. The whole gig is on youtube i think,  Muddy Waters and Sonny Boy Williamson and others were there. Oh to have been there! (or even born for that matter )

Read Shout, Sister, Shout: a great bio of Sister RT.  Her white guitar look lives to this day with the modern 'sacred steel' groups; my white DGT pays suitable homage...

    Absolutely the real deal. I

bet she didn't bitch about half a pound of guitar weight here or there, or pickup outputs, or neck dive, or <insert as required> ... just getting it done :)

    Fantastic stuff :)
I'm always looking for interesting USA Hamers for sale.
