No I think it's been chipped off by hand, must have taken ages.

There's living proof that Peavey guitars are truly indestructible.

What a nasty looking relic job. I have a “genuine” reliced, ( ie. endlessly modded by me), old Peavey Predator. It says made in the USA on the back of the headstock but I suspect that it actually only assembled in the USA from imported parts. In my hands this poor old guitar has gone through numerous modifications and pickup changes. It has a now filled in battery compartment hole in the back and is routed out under the scratchplate, evidence of the time that it once had an  Eric Clapton active circuit board installed. It still plays really well despite its battered appearance but I’d never dream of trying to sell it as I like it and to anybody else it would just be a heap of junk.

The same chap seems to have a few guitars for sale with no head stock logos present but no mention of replacement necks too...

Gotta love it when the alleged playing wear disappears beneath the undamaged pickguard.

Firewood. But look on the bright side - there are too many guitars in the world, and manufacturers are essentially competing against second hand guitars for a share of the market. It’s a good thing for a few to be taken out of circulation, and the idiots who do it at least seem to concentrate on models no-one will really miss.

It's the equivalent of occupational therapy inmates of lunatic asylums were given. Instead of basket weaving, they're handed guitars and edge grinders.

Seriously, why would you say "Professionally hand-reliced" when it is clearly DIY from a clueless individual? Do they really think people are that stupid?

I think people who like their relicing at the extreme end of the spectrum are possibly a bit stupid.

Why damage a guitar like that?  Genuine wear is fine but butchery is simply wanton destruction.

Just another illustration of Einstein's second most famous equation...
