Boss DD3 problems

billandobillando Frets: 33
At a recent gig when i stepped on my DD3 delay the LED came on but as soon as i took my foot off it went off and the delay didn't work. I used another delay which worked fine. I then bought another DD3 off ebay and guess what....same thing happened first time i used it. I am using a power supply to power the pedal. Is this just a coincidence and the guy that sold it to me has ripped me off or is there another issue here i am not seeing? I haven't tried them with batteries yet.

    Is it getting enough power?
Try it as the only connected pedal to the PSU and/or with batteries
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Its the only pedal connected to the PSU. I tried another pedal Xotic EP booster which worked fine. It seems unlikely both DD3s would have the same issue though. I will try with batteries.

It’s almost like a phrase sampler with the length dictated by whatever delay time you have. Play a note, press the pedal and it will repeat that nite forever whilst you hold the pedal down.

It’s great if you’re into Radiohead-esque daft sounds especially if you add a looper into the mix!

I miss my old DD3, have a DD7 now and the hold is not the same at all.
