No it doesn’t; I think a selling point of Cabronitas is that they’re ‘Custom Shop designed’, or some similar hoodoo.

There was an aerodyne bass on ebay last week listed as a custom shop instrument.
I had the guy quickly corrected Japs do not have their CS there: "oops this is the info I had from the previous owner".
How the rumours are born that is.

I think a pro version or some such label did exist for higher end mij stuff. It might have been a 90s thing. I'm not entirely sure but if you look around you can find examples
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

Looks like an MIM Cabronita that has either been refinished or had a body swap.

The Cabronita and Classic player guitars are MIM but are 'Custom Shop designed'

Never seen a factory paisley Mexican La Cab. If it's a refinish I'd be interested in where the paper was sourced as it looks like the embossed stuff.

Your right, possibly an aftermarket body?
