The Black and #1 Strats must go well clear of 1m - 1.5 - 2m might be achievable?

I know a guy looking at the more recent Les Pauls. He'll be disappointed if they go for 30x the estimate like the others have so far.

I guess this is where the 1% are putting all the money they've been earning these last few years. 

Assuming the Black Strat goes for 5m+ is there *anything* out there that could out-do it?

And even out of those I'm not sure - I'd guess Lennon & Page would be the most attractive at auction.

Exactly - it'd need to be something iconic and so intrinsically linked with the artist as to become synonymous. I don't think there are many guitars at that level. Maybe Angus Young's main black SG, but even that isn't a "mythology" guitar, and he's used plenty of others.
