Be aware that insuring a guitar for XXX amount only really covers you for them losing the guitar. If the guitar gets damaged they will not payout the full amount. I had a guitar returned to guitarguitar which got banged and scratched in transit, it was insured for £600 and they offered me £14 to cover the damage as they said the packaging was inadequate. It was the same packaging the store had sent it to me with. In the end I couldn't deal with the hassle and just kept the guitar, the damage was cosmetic but enough that the store would not accept the return.
