You assume the forum search works properly..... would be great if the software was updated to something that allowed simple searches and allowed us to easily post pictures!
Ummm, that would be down to Lee, who’s been a bit busy with other things lately.  ;)

Unfortunately places like this are magnets for certain newbies and sporadic posters proclaiming “Relics, I don’t understand them?!?!? You all have to convince me to like them cause I’m a grumpy old shite” or “why did eBay give me a warning?? I only sent the guy my mobile number and a cash price.. like wtf??”

But hey, don’t hate the player... hate the game. Sometimes the internet isn’t your friend ;)

I did guess as much!!! Learning the guitar is about repetition after all!
It’s difficult not to get repeat questions when you have a single interest forum with new members joining daily and a dubious search function.

Plus, opinions change over time. There will come a time when we get a whole thread extolling the virtues of 2015 Gibsons ;)
Or even bass guitars.  ;) ;)

Ah embrace it! All part of a forum.

Keeps us sociable too rather than just being an encyclopaedia!

I honestly don't see a problem with people asking old questions again.

If someone comes in asking about "what's a good guitar for £500" or "is the Boss Katana any good?"  there is no harm in chipping in, and its usually a chance to make a new poster feel welcome, or show how we are a helpful community.

I'd hate for this to turn into a forum where it's all "Just search Boss Katana you newb", would be rubbish!

Plus the answer changes over time.

I don't really mind repeat threads.

It's a bit disheartening to add what I think is a pearl of wisdom to an exhumed old thread, only to realise I said exactly the same thing on page 7 a year ago, and on page 4 the year before that.  At least on a fresh thread I can truly believe I'm contributing something original.

I've said pretty much all I ever intend to say about relics though.
