Replacement machine heads for 2015 LP Junior

As above, thinking of replacing the Gforce tuners on my LP Junior and was wondering what others would recommend I put on there instead?

I just fitted some Gibson PMMH-010 tuners to my 2019 SG Jr, they fit perfectly, with the threaded bushings. Along with a Tonepros adjustable bridge tuning is notably more stable and the guitar now intonates a lot better than the Gibson bar bridge.

Not sure what holes are reamed in your headstock for the robot tuners but I didn't have to make any mods at all.

Any 10mm bore, threaded collar machineheads will fit, although you'll need to drill screw holes.

Personally I would fit Grover Rotomatics, but there are many choices depending on what key style and weight you want.

  • Thanks both. Went for Kluson locking ones in the end cos they had the tulip style buttons.

Took ten minutes to swap them over and there’s a noticeable difference as to how light these are compared to the gforce ones.

I’ve put Grovers on my 1915 LP special. A vast improvement on those terrible robot things it came with.
