Yes they are in the radar

Mark is almost on my doorstep, though he has something strikingly similar so not sure he'd necessarily want to.

what sort of rates should i expect for comission?

    20-25% is the norm.

I've used my local GuiterGuitar in the past with satisfactory results. It's a while since I last sold guitar on consignment, but their commission then was 20% of the sale price.

Pick one with a good cashflow so you can get your money when the guitar sells.

I have had this experience - though I hasten to add not with Guitars4You.

I got my money from the other shop eventually but wouldn’t use them again to sell something for me. Steve’s advice is very wise indeed....

I had this experience twice in one year with a very well known shop in South West London that  shortly afterwards closed for good. It may or may not have been a stone’s throw from Kew Gardens. Having given them a decent amount of custom over the years, having to repeatedly ask for my money, and the experience of being lied to  about it, really left a bad taste.

On a more positive note, although it’s a way from Sheffield, Charlie Chandler’s are fantastic for consignment sales.
