Hollow Body / Single Pickup Question

What's Hot

I'm liking more and more single pickup electric guitars. I spied this one on this video, but can't make out what make it is.
The single P90 looks to be on the middle of the body as opposed to being a neck pickup which is what you see on most of these types currently.
It looks to be in a similar position to the old 335 style single pickup Gibsons but it's a Jazz box style body.
I'm guessing tone differences due to position would be very different to the neck pickup ones...

    Gibson ES-125 TC ?

EDIT - TC, not TCD - the D is "double pickup", which this plainly isn't. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gibson_ES-125

Looks like some kind of ES125T.  It's a dog-ear P90, not that uncommon and it seems to vary that Gibson put the single pickup in the traditional neck position or halfway between neck & bridge.  Middle placed pickups are probably a bit brighter than at the neck.

    EDIT deleted the D
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

    An ES225T, isn't it? Combined bridge/tailpiece.

Thanks folks. Were Gibson the only company making these types? Any current brands doing something similar / knockoffs ?

The Godin Kingpin springs to mind, or Epiphone Century (non-cutaway) or an older Sorrento (cutaway, but 2x pickups)

If only someone would reissue the Casino with the one pickup in the middle, it would be great!

Eastman do one as well: the AR371CE. I have one and love it - especially since I swapped the pickup for an Irongear Blues Machine humbucker. It's a very "alive" guitar and I think the fact that it just has the one pickup interfering with the vibration of the top has a lot to do with that.
