The physical knobs were off of a cheap Hohner tele that I bought way back in the eighties. They looked nicely aged all these years on. I put them in my dad's lathe and turned a flat bottomed groove into them then made the numbered label myself (I'm a graphic designer so easy as p*ss for me). People seem to like them! 

please tell us more about that tele - it looks unbelievably cool!
