I keep on coming back and looking at this.

I think it looks absolutely stunning.   Do have impeccable taste or should I go to specsavers??

I spent some of my happiest playing years using a LP Special ... and I actually really like that solid colour thing :-)
    So 'good taste'.

I'm liking that colour a lot. Very 'seafoamy-ish' vibe.
Needs a pickup selector tip cover though but...

It looks blue to me .

And it would look much better with a black headstock face, even if you don’t think the cream plastic and gold hardware is hideous.

But if you like it, it’s up to you...

Just make really sure you do, or you’ll take a big loss selling it, even starting from that price.

  • I can see why they've knocked £1400 off. Sorry.

LP Specials should be TV Yellow. It's a rule. ;-)

It’s still £1400 more than I’d be prepared to pay for it.

Don't ask us, we will just tell you what we think...

It isn't my thing, but I also was bored silly by the R8 mania here last year.

But, if you have 2k to spare, and it will make you happy, then I'd go for it, life is short mate :)
You are the dreamer, and the dream...

I quite like it.  I've owned and played a special for a long time now and associate them with blues and rock, so to see one in a colour you perhaps associate more with lighter genres is odd.  However that can work - play it through a dirty amp at a blues jam or rock gig!

I really like the look of that and I don’t usually like much with gold hardware. It is more than I’d currently ever thinking of paying for it but cost is all relative

Sweet. I take it Kerry Green is the colour, not a player I should know about?

Personally, I really like that - a lot.

But high end guitars which deviate from the norm can be a double-edged sword when it comes to resale value.
