Smooth out leather strap?

I have 2 really nice leather straps. Guitara klingelton
They are great if you have neck heavy guitars because the back side is kind of sticky keeping the guitar in place. I don't have a neck heavy guitar anymore and I am not liking it that these straps are grabbing on to my shirt. It looks ugly if playing out (I have a cool little gig next week) with the shirt being pulled up and down, here and there.
