I have trouble with rotating picks, anyone used monster grips, from strings direct? Any good?

They're ok, certainly a more pleasant alternative to Gorilla Snot.

I assume you’ve already tried, but just in case you haven’t, what about scoring your pick, or drilling/punching a couple of holes in it?

I've been toying with dunlop max grip, and have tried punched holes, with no great improvement, but I was thinking on the way home, that a velcro patch, the hook side, might be an option, and it works, at least for me

Found Dunlop Tortex, was far better than nylon or fake tortie (for wimpy <1mm picks anyway)

    Man up.

    Superglue.

Althought to be honest I've rarely managed to get superglue to stick things I want to stick. It seems to stick everything but...

Rick Parfitt used to punch a hole in his plectrums of choice to grip them better.  If it worked for him then that's the answer :)

A mate of mine used a drop of glue on his small Gibson picks. I use the grey JD nylon pics

Thanks for the V-picks tip, they have eliminated pick rotation, much better than my velcro idea. Have to be careful where I put the translucents down though, they are really easy to lose.

The best solution for me is to drill holes in the pick

Years ago someone on here recommended skateboard grip tape. Works a treat. You can get a metre of it for a few quid and you'll basically never run out

Dunlop Gators have a more matte finish which I like and find more grippy
