As I had some spare cash left over after failing to win the black strat during the Gilmour auction, I did a little deal on this beauty last night....

That guitar looks to have aged like wine. Absolute stunning NGD.

  • its a beaut. I usually don't comment on bigsby equipped guitars because I don't like them. However... that one is so part of the overall hardware look it seems right among all that natural aging.

    Congrats!

Very pretty. Is the lower TOM bridge plate original? It looks unusual.

Absolutely stunning - I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The main pro of a bigsby is that you can alternate tune. The con is that you have to send it to ICBM in Scotland, everytime you want it restrung.

The fit of the pickguard around the pickup surrounds is appalling. Send it back.

    ;)

Converted Deluxe? The bridge pickup position would tend to indicate so, and I don't think there were Standards until 1975.

My first reaction too if I'm honest.  Plus the bridge pickup looks very close to the bridge.
