Ibanez Prestige 1620 for £315?

That's a bit of a bargain right? There's one for sale near me and it looks in good nick. Has fitted hard case and everything. The only thing I don't like is the colour - a sort of natural mahogany brown.

Alternatively it could be a bit fishy maybe...

Thoughts?

Never seen a brown one - only black or red. Do you have some pics?

It's on Facebook so I'm not sure I can link it. It might be red I suppose. A sort of darkish trans red...

The Ibanez fan-wiki uses a brown one for their S1620 article: https://ibanez.fandom.com/wiki/S1620

(Although it is called Trans Black Sunburst... It's fecking brown, Ibanez).

Actually chaps I've been doing some digging and 315 isn't the total bargain that I thought it was. I thought these usually went for closer to the 400-500 mark.

Made in Japan Ibanez for £300? What else do you need?!

My apologies, I thought it was the FR1620 not the S.
It is a good price, but not a scorcher. Unfortunately (for sellers) S series Ibby’s have *atrocious* resale values. All Ibanez guitars take a big hit when listed used, but apart from the Herman Li and the old Gambale models, the market value of used S series is in the pits.

Its probably a great guitar, though. I don’t like those pickups but the trem is really good and all Prestige S models weigh nothing, so maybe worth a punt. You’d be hard pushed to find a Japanese shred machine under £400.

Thanks guys. I thought I'd stumbled on one of those rare 'buy it, have fun with it and then make >£100 when you sell it' guitars. I don't need it, would probably not play it any more than my Jackson through-neck and don't really have room for it.

Ill putt my GAS goblin back in the box.

Using a golf club to do that sounds a bit extreme.
