...guitar straps.

Any recommendations for a good, wide, leather strap for a heavy Les Paul?

If you're prepared to splash the cash, I can recommend Heistercamp. Got my first one last week and it's a really high-quality strap. Loads of options, etc, UK business.

Heistercamp or Pinegrove - both are excellent!

Mark finds a leather jacket and bullish tone go very well with a JC era Gibson.

Plenty of authentic Gibson straps too if you'd prefer.

Was hesitant to post since you did specify leather but just in case you're not 100% decided on leather, the Mono M80 is as good as I could imagine a strap to be.

If you are set on leather I'm sorry for wasting your time.

    Heistercamp are my favourite straps.

Pinegrove are good too, but a lot of their straps have buckles, so be careful if you don't want to scratch the guitar.  They do make some without buckles - just make sure you get the right one.

Some of the Levy's straps are good too.

I'm open to non-leather goods, thanks for the heads up.

I was going to make an Agnesi reference in my original post but failed, so you, sir, win the internet. =)

If not leather, then I can recommend Mother Mary fabric straps (James' Home of Tone stocks them and is a great person to deal with - Ive bought a couple of things from him). Quite soft, in some interesting colours - I have one on my Les Paul, and it is very comfortable indeed. Not especially wide though.

Well, I suppose I could play some Judas Priest on the guitar if that helps?

Nothing as fancy as some of the other stuff mentioned in the thread, but I've one of these, and they're incredibly comfortable/well made. Nice & thick to spread some of that weight.

Just echoing the Heistercamp recommendations...solid investment...great folks too!

I've just sent off my broken tweed amp handle for a remake...very reasonable.

That's what I call a dedicated smoker. Cigar and a pack of Marlboro. He's probably also got a pipe on him.

lol at least it's a funny one.

Not a fan of those threads "Does anyone..." then click in to it to find a thread about some obscure guitar that barely anyone would have willingly clicked on
