FACT: it is a great guitar!
Unfortunately my Telecaster blows it away when I A/B'd it at home. Need some P90 or PAF type pups ... missing these.   
So..trading as soon as possible.
Probably try Sound Affects in Ormskirk as not been and they have a good range of electrics.
Keeping this one .. pups changing when I can afford to.

Bought new or used? I'd replace the pickups if you like everything else about it. It's a great looking guitar.

B stock...small superficial scratch to rear so great price. Yep, repkace pups is a good shout.
Full humbucker sized P90s?

I'd go P90 neck and alnico ii PAF in the bridge but really up to you.

I'll jump in here as I also have one of these guitars - it's a little hard to explain but to me the pickups come across as being a little muddy or uninspiring. It sits on the guitar rack and I find that I just don't really reach for it (so I ended up sticking it in Open G and using it for Slide).

They are fine pups...just my Tele pups are more open and clearer which I prefer.

sorry, but EVERY guitar has at least one redeeming feature/PUP setting - as does every pedal... and amp... Give it time.

True...pup change and time to bond doable and probably sensible/possible, but I need to sell really for £ reasons. See for sale post!
