    I think you’ll find the “ears” of a regular humbucker route will extend either side of a regular Tele type bridge

    Get an Oil City Brassknuckle pickup for the bridge - no other mods needed, and it splits to something very like a standard Tele pickup (or a Strat, if you prefer). Even in the full humbucker mode it’s more Tele-like than a normal humbucker. You can use the Fender S1 Tele pot/knob to split it, or a standard push-pull, on either control.
