+1 to the spice girls, especially with the videos as well. Faves being Viva forever and 2 become 1

also +1 to Frozen's Let it go. There's something amazingly emotional about that song, especially with the video. She is sooo sexy at the bit when she lets her hair down!

Shang-A-Lang... Bay City Rollers. The love that dare not speak its name!

Also pretty much anything by The New Seekers - Judith Durham's voice is just phenomenal.

Probably displaying a touch of my feminine side here,

Hopelessly Devoted - Olivia Newton John.

    Great vocals.
    Laugh, love, live, learn.

I loved George Michael's 'Old songs from the past what I'm singing'... or whatever it's called.  I bought it.  I adore ABBA, I love Alessi's "Oh Lori", I love the Pistols' 'Frigging in the Rigging', Lemmy's 'Ace of Spades' and loads of Olivia Newton John's stuff.  Hell - I even liked Chesney Hawkes's 'One and Only'.  I think...  I can only remember the chorus now.

Currently I can't stop the BBC theme tunes to World Cups 78 and 82 from going round my head.

I have the wrong dose of world cup fever it seems.

Moments in Love by Art of Noise.

Get the Party Started by Shirley Bassey (cover of Pink's 2001 hit). I also love Bassey's vocals on Yello's Rhythm Divine. Does that make me a Shirley Bassey fan?

Kelly Watch the Stars - Air.

My Baby Smells of Sand and other songs from an album called Big Fish Popcorn by Kings of Oblivion.

Don't Stop Now by Liz Damon's Orient Express.

But why shouldn't someone like these? I think they're great examples of their genre. Each obscure-ish with the exception of Shirley Bassey's Get The Party Started.

The Cardigans "Lovefool".  I kind of wish I could marry that girl every time I hear it.
There is literally nothing abnormal about being strongly attracted to Nina from the Cardigans.

Try "Been It" or "I need some fine wine and you need to be nicer" see what happens then...

    ... I love Alessi's "Oh Lori" ...

That was the long hot summer of 1976 - the same summer as Stephen Bishop's "On And On"... Just gorgeous.

That’s great that is. “Songs from the last century” lol. Especially Brother can you spare a dime. I love how he’s so into it during the instrumental section in the middle.

The instrumental? Is that the bit where he stops singing? I guess most people would dig that.  :o

Ed did write it, and I also like that song. If you've not seen it, find Justin's live lounge stuff on youtube. He does a cracking cover of Fast Car, and shows he can also play a guitar pretty well :-/

Oh and to add to the list of songs I really shouldn't like, I'm a sucker for a good ballad. Story of my Life by One Direction is pretty good.

    Thats a genius song.
Only in the sense that talent borrows and genius steals .
