Are storage facilities/companies safe for guitar gear?

As title really, as there are big changes happening in my life I need to try and keep all my guitar gear safe as I'm really scared of losing it all. Are storage facilities safe to keep gear in? I'm just thinking out loud with this as I'm unsure of what's happening with the house, I'll keep my gear here until I have to vacate but after that I just don't know what to do. If anyone has any better ideas I'd love to hear them, thank you.

Look up your nearest Big Yellow or Safe store, they are all littered with CCTV and security access.

I’ve used a big yellow sort of storage unit in the past and it was fine, but the warehouse itself was a bit of a sweatbox in summer, so if you’re at all worried about having your gear gently cooked, you might want to bear that in mind.

I've not found the big yellows or safestore places to be hot in summer. Perhaps an outside unit, but inside it's fairly cool and safe for gear.
