Since I've now payed off the 0% Finance, I can now justify spending a bit of money on it. I wasn't putting new strings on before I knew it wouldn't be repossessed.

Took it for a fettle (as I do with any New Guitar) by the renowned Jon Shuker, he put the Poker Chip and new Knobs on while he was at it.

I think it looks better, I'll still live with the White Binding for now :)

The binding is supposed to be white - in this era of pre-aged everything we've forgotten that.

It's way better than the Barbie's hearing aid colour on my Les Paul.

Yes the binding should be white, it's the lacquer that ages on the original 60s guitars that makes the binding look yellow. Gibson have finally got this right on the latest Custom Shop guitars. Instead of pinky/cream binding they are fitting white binding but spraying with tinted lacquer to give the immediate aged look.

I swapped the standard knobs on my Faded for Reflectors and it somehow made a huge difference. I like your mods, subtle but effective.

I do prefer the Hearing Aid colour binding though, I must be a Pervert :)

I like the reflectors, looks classic with them and less 'plain Jane' of the standard bell knobs.

    Nice looking SG.

Yes to the poker chip, no to the knobs.... then again I swapped the speed knobs on my SG for bell knobs.

Yay, very much. It looks like a proper Gibson now - it looked like an Epiphone before. (Not that there's actually anything wrong with Epiphones.)

The binding is meant to be white and the switch tip is meant to be black - none of this cream nonsense, that belongs on a Les Paul Standard or a 335.
