Advice on correct pot to use

hey
i have a Suhr Alt T (H/H) id like to add a push pull to the tone pot to make the bridge parallel so it gets closer to a Tele bridge. What sort of pot do i order is it a 500k? Does it matter if the pot says its a volume pot like the dimazio pots or is a pot just a pot regardless of tone or volume? Do i need a long or short shaft? Any particular decent pot you can recommend.
Thanks
Pete

A regular CTS audio taper 500k push-pull pot should suffice.

The DiMarzio Pro Parts custom resistance taper is intended for use as a volume control. It is of little advantage as a treble roll-off tone control.

With the stock tone control temporarily unfastened, examine the thickness of the wood top. Anything thicker than 5mm warrants a long shaft pot.
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.
