Just bought an all black with gold locking tremolo 3 single coil super strat, would put it 84-85
Area. Nice guitar but needs good setup and strings. Will post pics later. Only serial number L24184

As you can see, no real damage, neck and frets in excellent condition, plays like a pig at the moment so strings are coming off and a full service happening now.

Gonna post a couple more pics later, no extra routing, looks all original but a couple of bad solder repairs to Earthing on pots. Frets are like new, surprising for a guitar this age.

I too love 80s tokai . They did a Model that ended with Tsh that had a humbucker.

I'm not 100% sure as I'd never find the serial number now but I might have been the orginial owner of that Tokai as they didn't sell many in that config. I bought it new in Erdington in October 1984. I remember the '80' sticker stratched away in the same place. If it was mine it'll say Nick under pickguard somewhere. It had a natural wood flight case too. Odd seeing it again & it played better than anything else in the shop in 1984

Never noticed a name there, pickup bobbins were light grey, did you write in body cavity or on pickguards?

Hi, On the pickguard, at the bottom edge near the selector switch. I used to put my name & home phone number. I guess scratching that 80 sticker happened to more than one. Bought back happy memories even though it turns out not to be mine. The dealer at the the time used to buy about 12-15  Tokai's and they didn't stay around long. Good luck with it.
