Frank Zappa fans; your attention please...

What's Hot
So... I was watching a documentary I'd recorded ages ago (about Rock & Roll guitarists from the 1950's) and a clip featuring Bo Diddley came on, from a 1966 TV music programme called The Big TNT Show, and there was a quick cutaway shot of the audience.

Look who snuck in...

  • Actually, it's not a stretch that Frank Zappa would be at something like that, he loved a lot of types of music including older blues.  He had Johnny Guitar Watson sit in on a couple of tracks on the "One Size Fits All" album.  Not saying the photo is authentic or not, just sayin' in general.

    Phil Silvers?
I think it's actually a young Josh Brolin disguised as Phil Silvers.

With Charles Hawtrey just to the right of him, in front of James Jamerson.

The whole picture's like a low-rent Sgt Pepper cover.

Apparently, the Big TNT Show was a cheapskate imitation of The T.A.M.I. Show with numerous featured acts. One of these was the Ike & Tina Turner  review band. FZ definitely attended. It may be interesting to compare and contrast Ike and Frank’s facial hair. ;)

Is the woman, half way up the left hand side of the photograph, in the black and grey clothing, actually the Internet Troll Face in drag?
