hmmm, have you been hacking my youtube feed?

seriously though, really digging the Richter stuff, that post modernism music is really powerful.

Wonderful stuff and that charming young lady in the silver dress could sit and play that to me all day long.

Have you heard the choral version, Agnus Dei?

Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

Wonderful piece of music from a wonderful composer

One of my favourite moments at the pub quiz I go to was when I asked who wrote "Barber's Adagio" for Strings and two teams answered "Mozart"

I’m quite surprised no-one said William Orbit :).

Ha the average age in the room is such that if they've heard of William Orbit, they'd think he used to make chewing gum.

  • Adagio for Strings always wrenches at my heart. It's beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. I think the first time I heard it was when I went to see Platoon, it plays as the soldiers arrive in Vietnam. And you know it's not going to be a happy ending right there.
