One of these was in the window of my local Cash Converters with a £179 price tag. It's no longer there. I need to find out who bought it and see if they want to buy Tower Bridge.

I had a similar one around 1989-1990. It was a HSH model though but the humbuckers could be tapped. It was the most flexible switching system on any guitar I've had. It was so long ago I can't remember what the guitar actually sounded like.

They weren't bad guitars at all.

As well as any other (pre-clean and setup)  Spectrum I’ve owned - in other words, pretty well!

It's come back to me now. It was a  Spectrum LX which had HSH pickups, a locking vibrato (locking nut & bridge micro tuners) with a  master volume (push/pull for coil tap), two tone controls (push/pull for mid pickup on/off and bridge pickup phase reverse).

Great price! That brings back memories - a friend had one of these, and I had a Spectrum MX. The Matsumoku Westones are seriously solid guitars. Pickups were rubbish but I put a Gibson humbucker at the bridge and an OBL rails humbucker in the neck and it rocked. It's on semi-permanent loan to my brother-in-law now.

Loved this guitar, sold it to a mate and regretted it not long after. 
Really solid player with comfy necks, sigh..
