I have a Lone Star Strat which I like very much except it weighs about as much as a small planet, so I've ordered a lighter weight,Walnut, HSS Strat body from the Guitarbuild happy hour sale, should look good Tru Oiled with the Fender parts swapped over.......

I bought one in an earlier sale. Satin Natural wax-oil will look great. A naturally yellowed Moto pickguard sets the Walnut off nicely. So does not-so-shiny gold hardware.

I really ought to sell a few things to finance the parts needed to complete my project.

As soon as the body was unpacked and checked, I stripped the Lone Star Strat of all its parts, then fitted them all to the body drilling holes as necessary, neck as usual with Guitarbuild went straight on, the spot marks for the bridge would have been wrong for the narrow trem assembly, but I had a Wilkinson Steel Block trem so used that as its a very worthwhile upgrade.....
Removed all the parts then over a few hours gave the Walnut body two coats of Tru Oil and let to sit for a few days...
Reassembled and setup this evening, I like it very much.....
There are a couple of very minor scuffs in the finish from assembly, but tomorrow they will get a wipe over with a tiny bit of Tru Oil and they will disappear, thats the joy of Tru Oil....

Superb! Looks great - I have something not dissimilar, also using a Guitarbuild walnut body:
