I have a 50's set which aren't miles apart spec wise. Nothing i don't like about them. Not harsh. Detailed & balanced.  Also Marc was a gent to deal with.

When I spoke to Marc and told him I was putting together a rosewood board ash bodied strat for the usual blues/rock hendrix, srv, chili peppers covers etc he recommended the special set saying it had a slightly fuller more usable bridge than the 50s or 60s sets.

I've not felt the need to change them since they were fitted three years ago. He's great to deal with and his products are top quality.  I can't recommend him enough.

  • I love his Broadcaster and Esquire bridge pickups so thought i'd look at his Strat pickups. This set appealed due to the A3 magnets and slightly higher output which I figured would probably be the equivalent in his range to the Broadcaster/Esquire. I have a 20 year old US Standard with rosewood board in a cupboard that very rarely gets touched because i've never really liked the sound, i'm hoping a good set of pickups will help!
