Haven't watched the video but isn't that the one where apparently Zappa handed Terry Bozzio the manuscript which then said he couldn't possibly play that then Zappa revealed he had actually transcribed it from o e of Bozzio's earlier performance?

Funny enough I watched that a couple of weeks ago. I seem to recall that young Steve Vai sent his transcription of the guitar part to Frank and he was so impressed that he offered Vai a job.

I could be wrong on that, memory fails me these days ....

I think Vai transcribed many Zappa compositions, in fact Zappa employed him to do just that and eventually offered him a chance to audition for the band.

I remember the guy  in the video in the OP (Shawn Crowder) from the Quintuplet swing groove video with Adam Neely (below). He appears to be a master of complex timings.
