335 style guitars with a smaller body

I really like the sound of 335 style guitars but would like one with a smaller body and was just wondering what was out there?

Saw a Peach video of the Suhr Alt T Pro which sounded great but I would perhaps like to retain a similar body style to a 335 but smaller

339 is 100% what you're looking for. I had a really great one last year which I foolishly sold on, great guitars.

ES-339 or CS-336, which looks the same but has different construction.

I think the Collings I-35 is a bit bigger than a 339 but smaller than a 335.

I think the Midtown is between a 339 and 335 .Its a flat capped instead of carved top  336 sort of  style .

I like the 339 as it happens - I'm not that big, so always find a 335 a bit to large for me

I'd go for an ES Les Paul over an ES-339.  I've owned both, plus a 335.

For me, the ES Les Paul is closer to a 335 in sound than a 339 is.  A bigger proportion of the body is hollow on the ES Les Paul than on the 339.  The 339 sounds closer to a solid Les Paul that tne ES Les Paul does.

The 339 is a good guitar, and will probably be easier to find.  If you do go that route, get one of the newer ones with the MHS pickups.  They are a lot better than the 57 Classics that were in the earlier ones.

Alternatively, if you have the budget, look at a PRS Hollowbody.

I had a CS336 ... nothing like a 355 IMO, way more Les Paul.

Collings I35-LC is expensive, but worth every penny imo. Immaculate fit and finish, which can't be said of Gibson.

The smaller bodied 335-alike is my favourite guitar format.  I have a 336 and 339.
