Gear4 music - Extended Warranty (pseudo)

I bought a Ibanez GAX30 Electric Guitar + extended warranty. I have kept my classical guitars and electrical guitars in the same place, all protected from sun and dump, inside a protective bag. All guitars are fine. Because I have been playing with my Fender, I barely played with the Ibanez. Literally I played 4 times. Current;y the first fret is not working, does not produce any sound when playing. Gear4 music refused to accept my claim using the extended warranty (5 years). But the issue is not excluded based the exceptions on the insurance policy. They just pretend to have a "warranty". Literally you pay just to increase their revenue. A waste of your money. Stay away from this company. I have had too many issues with their products and services.

What do you mean by "the first fret is not working, does not produce any sound when playing"?

If the action needs raising, or the nut adjusting, or the fret levelling or something like that I doubt this would be covered by a warranty?

Sorry to hear about your problem.
I too protect my guitars from from sun and dump.

I don't really see why you'd need extended warranty on a guitar. There's not much to go wrong on them. Not like a complex piece of machinery or electronics.

An Ibanez GAX30? They sold for £150 and you had a 5 year warranty to cover a minor adjustment?

It's the moisture in the dumps that stops the first fret from not making a sound.

Thread closed. We get a couple of these each year. Someone joins up with the express purpose of rubbishing a supplier.
