Right then - how DO you get a plectrum out from inside an acoustic?

I've had a plectrum rattling around inside my acoustic for weeks and no amount of shaking will get it to fall out!

Let's have your tried and tested methods.

Heel

Flip. Hold up in the air. Look in soundhole. Jiggle guitar and watch for plectrum.

Get it under the sound hole. Grab a pencil, push it into the hole and push down on the pick. Turn the guitar upside down. Release the pencil. Bingo!

I jiggle till it's under the soundhole and the guitar is flat. I then turn the guitar over and out it pops.

I believe the correct order is put a spider in there, then a bird to get the spider, and so on.

Get a space craft. Fly into space. Nuke Earth and offending instrument. If you can't afford a space craft and nuke then the pencil trick is good. Attach a blob of blutack is a good option too.

Just get a plectrum magnet.

The pick will have damaged the guitar beyond repair, buy a new and better guitar.

This works well for picks but is a bit time consuming if your kid's dropped a handful of Lego inside.

Fill the guitar with water, hopefully the plectrum will float to the top and you’ll be able to reach it more easily. 

This method is only effective for buoyant plectrums.

Use a vacuum cleaner.

Either in suck mode or blow (don't forget to empty the bag first).

Top ideas! It finally came out after shoogle #38 but the pencil/blu tack idea is sound and is noted for future lazy finger moments.

Hmmm. I'm going to sulk. I mentioned blu tack on a pencil two posts before munckee but I didn't get a WIS nor a "clever". Petulant and sitting in the corner face is now on.
