It’s been a frustrating day. Have been doing some recording and logic resolutely refused to pan any of my tracks - audio, software instrument, didn’t matter. No panning available (the virtual knob would twiddle, but to no effect) 

Rebooted, checked windows settings, tried another interface. Nothing. 

And then remembered that I’d put a mastering plugin on the stereo out (just to get a quick and dirty feel for the plugin) and - in my haste - had used the mono version...

Even with the plugin switched off everything still summed to mono

what. An. Idiot.

At least you didn't once plug the output of a 100w Marshall into the front end of a Mic Preamp, frying both devices.

A friend of mine dropped a bottle of wine onto a 100k console in a commercial studio which smashed and went everywhere.
