I picked up a set of Bloodstone vintage hot start pickups from ebay. A bit of a random purchase

What can I expect from these

I guess they are just another pickup in a sea full of similar products?

  • I've never heard of them before; with a name like Bloodstone it sounds like a super-hot pickup for metal! Would be interested to hear how you get on with them
Too much gain... is just about enough \m/

I'm probably the only member of this forum mentioned by name in Whiskey in the Jar ;)

    Here is a link

They are described as follows on the website

    Vintage Hot - Irish Flood (Alnico 5: Neck=6.5K Mid=6.5K Bridge= 7.4K)

Maximum 42awg to give a really powerful woody tone with warmer highs, more weighty mids and a fatter bottom end to drive any amp really hard

I'm not really sure what all that is supposed to translate to

Inspired by the BK Irish Tour set?
My Trade Feedback Thread is here

Been uploading old tracks I recorded ages ago and hopefully some new noodles here.

  • I bought a Tele pickup. The guy who runs it was very helpful, and the final product is very well built, and sounds great.
