I thought the the band was called the.co.uk

All in lower case. Like k.d.lang. So, I'm assuming some kind of lesbian country-funk music.
Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

Overheard my mother in law watching the Chelsea Flower Show on TV tonight, and its amazing what you hear that has Band Name Potential.

I came up with a great idea this morning ... forgotten it now.

I've remembered it ... a band name to reflect changes in personnel over a period of time ... five guitarists, four drummers, three bass players ... but the same band ... ladies and gentlemen I suggest:

    Trigger's Brush

Oh yes meant to update with the name I chose.

    Went for 'Soul Riot'

Not the worlds best name, but it includes the word soul, no one in the band hates it, and the .co.uk was available which is about as much as you can hope for.

Oh - you wanted the word soul in the band name?
But you already chosen one ... so it's too late to suggest

    R-Soul

    ;)

That is poetically in keeping with one of your major interests - overdrive pedals

Mix one EXH Soul Food with a generous helping of Suhr Riot, and leave the audience both shaken and stirred  :)

Just as well you're not a fan of Friedman amps or you might have needed the .xxx extension rather than .co.uk   :D

I've always wanted to be in a band that used the words 'Atari' and 'dynamite'.

    Bond Chic.

    Luke Warm Sweet Potatoes

Innapropriate funk bump.  That was a band generator, I take no credit.

Soul Riot works, though.  You missed out on the Luke warm Sweet Potatoes though.

I always enjoy X and the Xes band names. You can push them to limitless levels of the surreal or the tragically mundane (somehow reminds me of Vic Reeves, who started out as the character Vic Reeves, The Northeast's Top Light Entertainer, a working-man's club dinosaur in a white suit, though he's not really an example of the format - though he did record as Vic Reeves & The Roman Numerals)

    Tommy Tank & the Wanks

    Numb Johnny & the Performers

Salty Porridge & the Vinegar Strokes (Variations on a theme)

Dick Davidson & the Bobby Dazzlers

David Icke & the Bashful Lizards

    Jason & the Arrgh

Jean-Luc & the Away Team of FUNK

    Billy Bristol & the Tenements

    Vic Vauxhall & the Cavaliers

Cerys Cortina & the Fuel Injectors

British Leyland & the Changing Fortunes

Larry Atari & the Dynamite Sweats (cracking name for dirty, hammed-up Eagles Of Death Metal kinda band)

I guess we'll just have to use 'Moist Nun and the Bad Habits' in a future incarnation of our band then ;-)

Most of the three-word ones are a bit silly, but some of the two-word ones are genuinely good!

I think it peaked early for me, first result was "DaVinci's  Puppet  Titans"

    Hi folks,

I always like to see whenever any website or message board links to my website.  Yes I feel proud when (for example) I see a NASA link to my angular size calculator www.1728.org/angsize.htm

But I always like to see people chatting about my band name generator!!

I'll admit that I wrote that with a 50% serious 50% totally lunatic mentality.  But it is surprising to see E-Mails sent to me from folks that named their band with it.

You people think that most of the 3 word band names are a bit silly?
Here are 2 of my favorites
    Disappointed Helium Pirates and
    Abandoned Windshield Planet.

Now you see why your country was not too disappointed in losing this wacky part of the Empire.

Glad to join your message board.

Four play? Shoe Souls? Mustang McNally? Midnight Power? Ok you're right these things do bring lame suggestions (from me at any rate)

Four Play is a real band - run by Clapton bassist Nathan East.
