Manson 1983 Assembled Guitar ?

What's Hot
Can anyone please shed some more light on this Manson Stratocaster I recently picked up .

The headstock reads " Manson  Assembled 1983 "   with no other branding to the body or neck ( serial )  .

The previous owner told me he bought it from auction and since has had the pickups changed to a set of Montys with a new pickguard  , it was sold as being a Mason custom build but I have failed to dig up anything similar  .

I have emailed Manson guitars but did not get any response ,  . I would be looking to sell it on but want to be more sure of its history before doing so.

Here are some pictures

thanks

The logo is consistent with older Mansons, and not something you could just pick up easily if you wanted to fake it. The roller nut looks quality, again consistent with a Manson custom build of that era (he liked brass hardware). Tuners look new - originals were likely Schaller.

I guess the other obvious question is: how well made is it?

  • Thanks for the information . Its a well made instrument and plays well but it was  the lack of serials / stamps that got me concerned .
