NGD: CS Nocaster

Slightly belated NGD from Saturday. A Fender custom shop limited edition 51 nocaster. Had seen this on a previous visit to Peaches hidden away in the corner of their CS room and had my eye on it but would have meant p/x or selling another guitar to get it. I like everything I have!!  Last week got through a rather silly PPI claim refund so decided to splash a bit of it on this.

Being mostly a Les Paul player the neck on this guitar is fantastic. Really thick U shape and the setup is bang on. I normally restring and setup a guitar after buying but this is just perfect.  The body is light ash and extremely light and well balanced. The pickups are superb being very clear but not shrill with enough drive to push a plexi without any pedals.  I've had a couple of teles over the years - a special edition korean ash and a baja. Liked both and sold each with intention to get another further up the ladder but not seen anything I liked. Until now!

The finish is a slight relic and is very thin. You can see/feel the wood grain through the finish.

Lovely! Are the picks the standard CS 51 nocaster’s, or are they a special handwownd version? Or different altogether? Cheers

The floor traveller says a handwired nocaster bridge and handwired tele texas special neck. Both sound perfectly suited to this guitar.
