Revelation -

Ive had a couple of J Mascis models and honestly this compares really favourably. I think I prefer the JM neck- this one is fairly regular  C which is comfy but not as chunky as the JM.

I prefer the Strat style trem on this and with the Varitone type control you can get some cool extra sounds out of it too. I’d say the P90s aren’t as hot as the J Mascis , probably somewhere between those and a regular Jazzmaster pickup.

Gretsch -

Like the JM this is in excellent condition and plays faultlessly. The blacktop pickups are thick yet still twang and the Bigsby works as it should.

Comes with a non Gretsch hardcase and is yours for £450 collected.

Cracking guitar this, tried one in the shop. Preferred the sounds at either end of the chickenhead knob, but felt, played and sounded like a much more expensive guitar. GLWTS

Thanks guys , just an update that I sold  something else last week which took my last box. (I’m paying for yet more home repairs).

It means this is collection only now although happy to drive out a bit for those Bath/ Salisbury/Exeter/Bournemouth folks.

JC120 and Gretsch on hold for myself , not overly keen on letting either go and last nights visit from roofer/builder ahead of a quote  gives me the hope that the bill won’t be as bad as I feared.

Plus newly purchased £100 dehumidifier is working wonders on wall damage already :-)

If I still lived in Devon, I'd be making a road trip to try the Revelation out - It's a brand that I'm new to, but I liked the bass I tried very briefly.
