Hi All,

Got this on ebay as was discussed on this very board a couple of months back. It's incredible, but just looking at financial realities of run up to Christmas. So...pics are here:

And more here including the original case:

The original ebay description was pretty accurate I thought:

Beautiful and amazingly rare 1965 Epiphone Olympic Double Pickup in gorgeous Pelham Blue. Condition is excellent with just a few nicks here and there and lots of cool lacquer checking. Completely original (other than a repro tremolo arm) and complete with original grey chipboard case with blue felt lining. Weighs 7lbs 8oz, with Brazilian rosewood fretboard and very comfy medium/chunky neck profile. Pickups are fantastic and to me are like a cross between a P90 and fender single coil. Basically identical to a Melody Maker from the same period (of which I've had a couple) and is in my mind a more attractive guitar. Built in the Kalamazoo factory, by the Gibson guys, on the same production lines and they even have the same serial numbers. Super rare in this custom Pelham Blue finish which has has faded and turned a gorgeous green shade. Find another like this one and in this condition

Bloomer of this very parish thinks it might actually have been this very guitar, advertised as 1967 on Reverb a while back. I couldn't get closer to the truth from my the serial number, but it could well be a 1967.

Anyway...you lot always know more than me, so any input welcome. As an entry level vintage investment, this is a gem.
