Its probably got the swiss cheese hole weight relief..  Pretty much all LPs have some kind of weight relief. They did do some Traditionals full solid bodies but as far as I know all classics have some kind of weight relief.

I used to think my one was a solid body, its heavy enough. But its not.

  • Summary: The Gibson Les Paul Classic was developed in 1990 with the idea of making a Les Paul that resembled the old school 1960 Classic! This particular guitar is from 2006 & it has a wonderful Cherry Sunburst finish and it ships with the original hardshell case.

Body: Solid body single cutaway Les Paul with a mahogany body & a maple cap.

Neck: Mahogany neck with a fully bound rosewood fingerboard, aged block inlays, 24.75” scale length, 1 11/16” nut width, 1960’s style neck profile.

Pickups/Hardware:  Chrome hardware, 2 humbucker pickups, 2 volume knobs, 2 tone knobs, 3-way switch, cream plastics, Gibson Deluxe tuning keys, Les Paul “Classic” truss rod cover.

Cosmetics: This instrument does show some scratching on the pickguard & a few nicks & dings on the body but overall it is in great shape. There are some light scuff marks on the back & a little bit of buckle rash but nothing major.

Playability: We put a new set of 10’s on this Les Paul & adjusted the neck so the action is low & the guitar plays great up & down the fingerboard.

    Modifications: N/A

    Weight: 9 lbs,  7 oz.

They are all classed as Solid Body guitars even when they have weight relief... I am like 99% sure your guitar will have some.

    From MyLesPaul.com

    Gibson USA

Weight-relief started around 1982/1983. Every Gibson USA Les Paul between 1982 - 2007 is weight-relieved. They do not have solid-body construction. Weight-relief is also known as "swiss cheese holes" and refers to the nine holes drilled out of the body in order to reduce the weight of the guitar.

Chambering officially began for 2007 but the late 2006s are also chambered. Any Les Paul made after October 2006 maybe or likely is chambered. Every 2007 and newer Gibson USA Les Paul is chambered, except for the Les Paul Traditional. The Les Paul Traditional has swiss cheese holes. Chambering is essentially hollowing out the body. Again, this is in order to reduce the weight of the guitar.

    Gibson Custom Shop

Gibson's Custom Shop makes regular production guitars and historic reissues. The regular production guitars, such as the Les Paul Custom, are also weight-relieved. They do not have solid-bodies.

The historic reissues are solid. All historic reissues, be it Standards or Customs, are solid. The exception being the chambered reissues. Chambered reissues are often referred to as Cloud 9 guitars. They are identified by their serial number, which begins with CR. chambered-reissue.org
