James Goodall acoustic guitar, Aloha Standard model, 1997

A really nice Aloha Standard James Goodall guitar, which was made while he was based in Hawaii.  The Aloha Standard model is James Goodall's unique take at the dreadnought size guitar, but with his own unique shape.  It is built to take either light or medium gauge strings, sounds very balanced across all bass, mids and highs.  I am selling because i mostly play smaller bodied guitars nowadays and it just deserves to be played more

Back and sides are mahogany, with a really nice grain and sheen, top is Sitka spruce, with a nice 22 yr aged colour.  There is a clear scratch plate fitted.  The binding and overall build/finish is the best of any guitar I have owned, typical Goodall craftsmanship.

  • Hi Marshall, I have updated the description above, but yes mahogany back/sides and lovely aged sitka spruce top.  The finish is the best of any guitar I have , or have owned and I am still on the cusp of do I sell or not !! But I just don't seem to play it much, preferring a smaller Brook I have and a wonderful Gibson LG1.  Its a beauty for sure
