eBay/PayPal fund it, some naughty retailers whack their prices up when they get wise to it for no other reason than to cash in. It stinks.

No it is ebay who fund it, some sellers are just opportunistic, increase their prices relying on buyers not noticing, Buyers get 10% off and think "wahey great deal" when actually the 10% off has just reduced it back to the price it was before, and the seller pockets the increase.

See also, for example, putting 20,000 extra policemen on the streets, after you've reduced their numbers over the last 10 years by 21,000 in the first place

It’s put me right off buying anything from them ever again though...

They did this to me last time and I pulled them up on it.T 4 hours and later and they dropped the price to the price on their website. Their stupid collection only secondhand stock on their website is annoying like I'm going to drive to Sheffield.

This time the code wouldn’t work for a combined purchase by putting items in the basket so I bought some lights and a dmx controller I was looking at getting anyway and the extra discount was nice.
